Remote gas monitoring starts with understanding the meter output.
A pulse output represents a defined quantity of measured gas. The pulse value may be expressed as cubic feet, hundreds of cubic feet, thousands of cubic feet or another configured unit depending on the meter, index, flow computer or corrector. Before deployment, DFELAB verifies the available output, pulse factor, electrical interface and who is authorized to access it.
R3CON can then count the approved signal, associate it with the correct meter and timezone, transmit interval data over cellular and retain a historical record for reporting. It does not change the meter's certified measurement function.
